HELD CAPTIVE... AND CHANGED FOREVER
Today, we will meet more women who have endured kidnapping, abuse and torture which altered their lives forever. April was held captive and tortured by her boyfriend’s friend a year a half ago. During the eight-hour ordeal, April was repeatedly beaten and raped, and then set on fire. She suffered burns on 61% of her body, lost her right hand completely and most of her left hand. Montel will be giving her a surprise that will change her life! Debbie was held captive in her home allegedly by her estranged husband. After she managed to escape, her husband held their two kids hostage at gunpoint during an eighteen-hour standoff with the police. You won’t believe how this story ended. Kathryn was held captive for 54 days by her schizophrenic boyfriend. What he did to her will shock our viewers! She was eventually rescued and her boyfriend was arrested and sentenced to six months in a psychiatric hospital. However, she was so scared for her life, she joined a victim protection program, and changed her identity. Now, over twenty years later, she found out her abuser has died, and is finally able to speak out about the experience. Montel will be reuniting her with two people she had to cut off contact with due the victim protection program! Psychologist Dr. Peter Favaro will offer advice to all our guests.
